Earl Nesbitt
Mr. Nesbitt has extensive litigation experience representing clients in significant matters including plant explosions, oil field accidents, construction claims involving serious injuries including wrongful death. His practice has included an array of diverse civil litigation and legal disputes in State and Federal Courts and administrative and civil service proceedings. Legal matters include complex tort and bad faith claims, general contract/business disputes, employment matters, election contests, voting rights, declaratory judgments, covenants not to compete, and trade secret violations, to name just a few.
Not only is Mr. Nesbitt a veteran litigator, he has extensive knowledge advising clients on regulatory and compliance issues, contractual disputes, collection cases, real estate transactions, creation and structuring business entities, purchase and sale of business entities, structured settlement and lottery transfers and financing and purchase transactions.
As a former Executive Director and General Counsel of National Association of Settlement Purchasers (NASP), Mr. Nesbitt has developed and implemented NASP policies and strategies to educate policy makers, courts, and the public about the secondary market and NASP to advance and protect the interests of NASP. He was responsible for all legal, legislative, and regulatory matters and representing the association in advocacy efforts in Congress, State Legislatures and other governmental agencies and authorities.
In addition to his seasoned advocacy for clients in wide-ranging industries, he has spent a great deal of time advocating and supporting the City of Coppell, the City of McKinney, and the McKinney Boys & Girls Club as a member of various boards and committees.
When not practicing law, Earl enjoys spending time with his wife, a Dallas County Assistant District Attorney, and his two grown children.
