Rogge Dunn Group attorneys, Rogge Dunn and Collin Quigley, recently secured a major victory in a high-profile gender discrimination and equal pay case in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas, Cook v. Omnicom Group Inc., et al., No. 3:25-CV-1245-X (N.D. Tex. Nov. 11, 2025).
Mr. Dunn and Mr. Quigley represent Ellen Cook, a former high-level female executive of one of Omnicom Group, Inc.’s (“Omnicom”) subsidiary agencies. Despite her more than two decades of service to Omnicom, Ms. Cook was consistently and substantially paid less than her male counterparts. All while performing the same work, and was ultimately terminated because of her gender, age, and complaints of gender discrimination. After terminating her employment, Omnicom continued its discrimination and retaliation against Ms. Cook. They failed to consider her for other positions and provided her with less favorable severance terms than those offered to male executives.
Omnicom attempted to avoid Ms. Cook’s legitimate and substantial claims by filing a motion to dismiss. Siding with Ms. Cook, however, the federal court found her complaint to be well-pleaded and largely denied Omnicom’s motion. Furthermore, allowing Ms. Cook’s claims for gender discrimination, retaliation, and violations of the Equal Pay Act to move forward.
