    Brian Shaw is a trial lawyer with business acumen. He is equally adept at representing plaintiffs and defendants, and has successfully tried high-stakes lawsuits and arbitrations to judges, juries, and arbitrators in state and federal courts, and before various arbitration organizations. Brian has also served as lead counsel on appeals to state and federal appellate courts on disputes ranging from search-and-seizure law under the United States Constitution, to an issue of bankruptcy court jurisdiction.

Brian’s cases are varied, including disputes involving businesses and partnerships, shareholder rights, contracts, oil and gas, employment, significant personal injury, insurance coverage, construction, probate, real estate, car dealerships, collections and bankruptcy adversary matters, among others. In addition to his litigation practice, Brian also counsels businesses and individuals on a wide-range of legal matters.

First chair in 2-day JAMS arbitration against national auction house

First chair in oil and gas bench trial in Denton County; obtained relief requested and ultimately succeeded on appeal

First chair in bankruptcy adversary trial defending against allegations of fraud and fraudulent transfers; obtained complete defense verdict

Conducted voir dire of panel that included former President George W. Bush

First chair in 3-day jury trial regarding landlord-tenant dispute in Dallas County; obtained complete defense verdict; also obtained dismissal of eight other nearly- identical cases filed by the same plaintiff’s attorney against the same clients
